When I Was At Bethlehem

Before the birth of Jesus I was at the streets of Bethlehem I have seen in the faces Agony and pain of thousand years In the corner of corner less heart I feel them to create surging waves Like a spider nets a web one upon another To reflect the sadness in my face To get the relief from the iron clutches I take help of my imagination And walk in my those fantastic dreams I become the king and the richest man In one hand a touch stone and in other The Wonderful lamp, with the touches I give them light and vanish all the pain With the cracking sound of my breaking dream I awake as I was deep in sleep and realize That the life is real and the reality is Very rough and tough, no ways to escape, One has to face, test the bitter taste Where I was then that was a fairy land Full of my fancies and whims.
