Winter

Winter in hot countries is a natural gift,
Takes dirt and sweats gives a silky sift,
I'm afraid of her hysteria in heat,
During hot summers, it's often a rift,
Always I am at her two arms length,
She's at a distance, a model of no lift,
Yes, prevention is better than cure,
I too avoid her when I see her tift,
Winter when fills us with hot water,
In cold rains see an overall drift,
Love it as remain in a blanket whole day,
Dreaming a night that'll make her swift.
(I know someone may object on 'tift', so the explanation is given below: -
A fit of pettishness, or slight anger; a tiff. After all your fatigue you seem as ready for a tift with me as if you had newly come from church. - Blackwood's Mag. Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary, published 1913 by C.
