Golden Cap views from its peak so enchanting Across the blue waters to Lyme Regis bay, The fine pearl of Dorset her Cobb and the harbour Her houses a paint-box of colour this day. I walk through the grass on this heavenly hillside That's rising so steeply to Corsican Pine, I stand there and gaze at the south coast of England And know that these riches shall always be mine. Crowned by the sandstone that shines in the sunlight Where nature's alive and forever will be, The wild flowers that grow on the slopes gently wave As they bend on the breeze that does blow from the sea. Golden Cap views from its peak so enchanting And touching the clouds as they slowly pass by, A place full of dreams and my heart is so joyful To watch all the seagulls that soar through the sky.
