Body, A Temple

A Aniruddha Pathak
0 Altın Yaprak
No mere mishmash of limbs, blood nor yet flesh That would one day burn up and turn to ash, Abode is it of everlasting soul, Perceiving and powering and knowing all, A witness of an endless bliss, A temple of God body is. Breathes therein Nature's secret essence, Doctor its own, doing its own defence, Beats therein ancient heart that feels no small, And head filled with wisdom at beck and call, Therein shines all the universe, Of which the sages sing in verse. No efforts ever enough to protect Can be this God's edifice to respect, Yet, all we ever do is to neglect, To puncture divine purity Of His abode and temple, the body, The Creator's one noble act! And yet, a new one is bestowed on death, Such is in this creation His faith. _____________________________________________ Musings |20.08.14 |
