Cobwebs Of Callous Mind
A Aniruddha Pathak

This de-numbing degree of dirt,
Variety of rotting riot,
Seen yet unseen, strewn all overt
Many a street corner to dot;
For beasts and bugs a preferred place
Teaching to us tenets of tolerance
Along with a fine art of avoidance,
Black-holes dotting free public space;
A swirling sea of stale garbage
Has to be crost howso you can,
Let it take virtual war to wage
With beasts and bugs and dung-hill hen,
Men who happy seem a halo to wear,
Scarce a second thought to it ever spare.

Dirt disorder and dishonesty increasingly run through our life. Yet, except for ad hoc campaigns to clean up we do nothing about it. With years of exposure and helpless resigned attitude most of us have learnt to live with it. This satirical piece likens it to a strange hallow that we seem to wear. But a product it is of a callous mind.
