Niranjan, nor ever a brave boy, Rather Ranjan, game for a good ploy, Rewarded when sweet pie Amidst voices of why, Grateful gone glum this good guy Gogoi! ____________________________________ Within months of his retirement as Chief Justice of Supreme Court, Ranjan Gogoi was nominated by government for country's upper house, and he accepted it without demur— not a good tradition from the point of judicial independence. People would now see it as appreciation of his good work on NRC and a few cases (Rafale, Ayodhya?) . Yet, alas this has been a tradition in India whichever Party rules. A virulent virus in white wigs!
