Heal Thyself O Patient: Part Vi
A Aniruddha Pathak

‘We'll aspirate the liquid', he thence said,
‘If liquid goes, the swelling might as well',
My arm was dulled; a large needle was laid,
To him Mt Everest looked dwarf in spell.
But few days and liquid returned in phase,
The swelling returned too as it ere was,
Respite was from pain, nor medical chase,
Perhaps my fate was caught by karmic laws.
And yet, pain was a minor irritant,
And I lived a normal life as before,
If only I had avoided it all.
My tenant cyst felt fairly permanent,
Cosy in my elbow anchored at shore,
Comfy as my prized guest, safe in soft wall!
