Life, The Way You Look
A Aniruddha Pathak

Despite an opportune wide open door,
Hither comes a man defeated in mind,
Unsure underdog, tail tucked unto hind,
His life drifting unto a hellish shore,
He lives life as if led, life of no alts,
Chasing mirages, serving double-faults!
In spite of a door banged shut on his face,
Comes thence a man with great belief in him,
Walking lion's gait, musing on his dream,
Bang hitting a sure shot— a tennis ace,
All odds-against, break point, an ace on deuce,
O to snatch advantage, don'ts into dos!

To a pessimist opportunities look like difficulties;
To optimist, difficulties are like opportunities.
