Rejoice In Thine Own Richness
A Aniruddha Pathak
0
Altın Yaprak
A Samurai to a Zen Master went,
Unhappy, Zen, not sword, claimed more esteem.
Look, Moon has silvery lustre, no scent;
Now look at rose that ever fragrant seem.
Comparison maketh man unhappy,
Why worldly goodness fails to enrich life,
Life grooved to presumed patterns most men see,
Not poetry, but see only its strife.
So, haply rejoice in richness your own,
Rose never envies Moon, nor yet Moon rose,
Behind their masks ye should look at men close,
And you'll know reasons for their muted moan.
If life gets stuck on to preconceived grooves,
Get liberated. Life is life if moves.
