St Kabeer's Couplets 8: Awake If Ye Can

As oil dwells deep seed prone, As is fire in a flint-stone, God dwells in every man, O awake if ye can. __________________________________________________________ Hereunder is given the original doha, a couplet by Kabeer, which when rendered in English takes all of four lines, a quatrain or more: Jaise til mein tel hai, jyon chakmak mein aag Tera sayeen tujh mein hai, tu jaag sake to jaag Think twice before doing anything that you should not.
