The Lost Reverie
A Aniruddha Pathak

Altın Yaprak
Receding night goes grinning whilst still grey,
Loosening grip on her night-long dark belt,
As frosty snow mellows slowly to melt,
As moon saunters to hide behind bright day,
Eastern skies as look laced with limpid red,
Mist behind grey shadows begins to flee,
And dawn rises restful from flurried sea
Like a fair maid musing from bridal bed,
As Arun's1 bright amorous arrows aim
To ruffle facile feathers of the night,
Declaring reign of Sun's radiant light,
Dawn turns to day, her rightful crown to claim.
And robbed of an early dawn's dewy dream,
Trying to recall and somewhat unsure
Of its gossamer rainbow-like vague theme,
I wake, and wonder if dreams can endure.
