When A Thought Came Thundering
A Aniruddha Pathak

The time it was of late June—
Time of impending monsoon,
All evening I watched with glee
The churnings of the tidal sea,
White foam surfacing atop,
I watched it long, break nor stop,
And a thought thundering came:
What if man's all foam, no frame?
Or all body and no head,
Perhaps man was more equal made.
