When God Created Man
A Aniruddha Pathak

Let there be no limit to man's kingdom,
Working up a new lump He took a pause,
Reflected on his new venturous cause,
Wonder what he'd do with wit and wisdom!
……
Today if told man might feel it unfair,
But God had had a hunch and inkling rare.
Given his tact man an utmost height spies
Whilst his inanity reaching a pitch,
But seldom still high ‘nough to realise
Wither goes he— devil, deep sea, or ditch!
His wisdom vouchsafing ways otherwise,
His follies, frailties reaching stratosphere
Where dangles before him a tempting prize,
But would God have any patience to spare!
