Cage
A Anjandev Roy

The great bard saw the beautiful bird
In front of his cottage,
He caught it and put it in the cage,
The beauty and loveliness of the bird
Was the pleasant source of his poetic emotions.
But the eminent poet was so much engrossed in it
That he could not feel the pain and anguish of the bird's heart,
He forgot that the bird aspired for freedom in nature,
It never liked to be imprisoned in the nasty cage,
Like a selfish man he only wrote poetry with his soothing and tranquil spirit one by one.
One morning he saw the lovely bird was lying dead in its cage,
The famous bard could not believe his eyes,
As he opened the cage,
He found the unfortunate bird had written some sad and gloomy words in its soft bosom before its death,
"You have killed me putting me in the cage,
I have not expected it from an outstanding poet."
The ambitious bard became extremely disappointed,
He destroyed all his poetry
And never wrote again.
