Search For An Honest Soul
A Anjandev Roy

Altın Yaprak
That day I moved from door to door,
But I could not find an honest soul,
Being tired and dejected I sat under a tree to take rest,
Until the birds returned to their nest.
Suddenly I saw a light,
Immediately I became anxious for the sight,
As I went near it,
Thinking to get my search right,
The light said to me in a gruff voice,
'The soul does not reside in this barren land,
You will have to go to that fertile land.'
