Love Me As I Am

My love, you have seen moon. You have seen How silent serene beautiful he is. But I am not moon. With fire of mortal desire And pain of earthly suffering, How could I be silent serene moon? Yet the truth is None can be a perfect lover Without serenity of moon. Lover must tolerate what is intolerable. This is why I would never be a lover. Never ever. But that does not mean I do not love you. I do. Indeed, I love you In every moment of my dream In every moment of my wakefulness. In every thought of mine You are there With your beautiful eyes And silvery smile. It's only I who love you. But you? You remind me my littleness By comparing me with heavenly moon. But I am a mortal human With my fragility and weakness. I do right, I do wrong. I do love, I do hate. How could you compare A mortal fragile being With heavenly moon? O my love, Love me as I am.
