Deep In A Lonely Woods

Altın Yaprak
deep in a lonely woods
I came upon a clearing
I had been face to face
with all that I was fearing
I'd lost the way to home
I had not packed a light
now it was growing dark
and soon it would be night
there stood a silent fox
just frozen it its stride
I'd come upon it there
without a place to hide
so I was like a statue
to her a quaint illusion
I'd not disturb her world
regretting my intrusion
we both would learn a lesson
for time had slowed its pace
in that eternity
our fears would be erased
she bounded on her way
and then I stood alone
within the garden forest
that we have both called home
