Inflection And Innuendo

Altın Yaprak
the golden sunrise
afternoon shadows reaching
the splash of color
before the evening fades to gray
a lover's kiss
the laughter of a child
moments are fixed in time
like photographs
moments grow to seasons
and then to years
yet I would not give up
what waits beyond the bend
the unattended mysteries
where dreaming may begin
and too the afterglow
that follows autumn wine
examination and anticipation
what was and what is yet to be
I cannot choose between the two
reality or fantasy
