Whenever the wind blows, Early in the morning light; The breeze bathes the air After the deep dark of night. Whenever the wind blows, In the heat of the beacon; It cools down the temperature Of the summer's hot horizon. Whenever the wind blows, In the winter's evening chill; Put on the jacket or sweater, As your tea cup is on the sill. Whenever the wind blows, Aiming to toss us to and fro; For us to be carried about With lies without light nor glow. Let not our true faith fade Into the devil's shadows; Fight the sleight of enemy, Whenever the wind blows.
