A poet of the seventies
O.P.Bhatnagar is a poet of
Tragedy, loss and suffering,
Anxiety and bewilderment,
Of the angst of the modern age
And the stress and strain of living
In modern times
Of modern life and living,
Of sham living of hollow man, .
Stark realities of life
Seeking for humanitarian help,
But the good Samaritan find we not.
Bhatnagar is but a modernist
Who penetrates deep into jointless times
So disintegrated and self-centred,
Holds parleys with himself
Trying to do the self talk in poetry,
He is a poet social concern,
Transmuted silence,
Of Caliban and his tongue,
Sand-dunes making and deciphering,
Fossils found from.
