The Beats were but the Western Bauls,
Krishnites,
The fellows of Hare Rama, Hare Krishna Movement,
The romantics turned Bohemians,
Gypsies, vagrants, wanderers,
Nature lovers, mystics, drug masters, alcoholics
And finally to the asylum for recuperation,
Materialists after being engrossed in
Material pleasure, love and sex
Getting bored with
To be look out for spiritual pleasure
And hence moving in the company of
Mystics, mendicants, yogis, sadhus, fakirs,
Bards, bhaktas and singers.
