What is the time by your watch? ,
We used to wait for
The passers-by
And used to ask
Wrist watch-wearing gentleman,
What is the time by your watch? ,
On hearing it, some used to tell politely,
Some not quicker in response,
My youngest brother and I
Standing by the small ways
Near the cottage
And enquiring about
As for to go to school
And to maintain time.
