William Carlos Williams
Gives a tougher sitting
To understand the matrix of his poetry
With the fleeting imagery
As if somebody else were smoking,
Taking the puffs,
Holding the butt of the burning cigar
And dwelling somewhere
To be under the avenues of his thoughts and ideas.
