I asked my kid a few days back
who owned him,
he thought a bit...
he 'hoped' he owned himself
but knew there were powers
above him, controlling his life
he knew he was not free
a lost concept in much of the world
Human Sovereignty,
no one above me,
all equal, self-directed,
free, happy
dying concepts... tearfully
