At One Time We Were Here

In all things it is good to give thanks, For everything works out for our good. Loss and grief teach us to understand Death is a reality, to accept it, we should. We do not thank the passing but the moment in time When we shared of the person's blessing, His laughter and company, many things we find That touched us and made his life worth living. In trials and tests we learn to be strong, Steadfast in Faith and humbled in character, From many experiences we learn Right from Wrong, And with tears and struggles we have become better. When Life's sunset bids us close with goodbyes We learn to be gracious, be thankful with cheer, We can't hold back Time nor postpone our demise- Still we are happy at one time we were...here.
