Attachment is the umbilical cord All of us had from our mothers From where the nourishment accords To make us grow into each other. Without that first human attachment Perhaps our race will never be 'Amoeba's all', would be the statement So weird it earns sheer nullity. By race, Attachment laid its claim To our color, blood, tradition. Attached to genes that we may blame For our poverty or health condition. Attachment is the mark we carry In all our lives in this earth, For we are men who dwell in society Attachment was there since our birth.
