Shaken Faith

Earth shaking reveals the crust Of frailties and all human claws Self-preservation quite disgusts And gods of flimsy faith have flaws. Gnawing on each other to survive Losing all of dignity and worth Now like mindless beasts alive In frantic spree does Greed go forth. In danger all their false religion fails And man so gropes for some power to hold Hope set on their idols now assail They are not gods and cannot save as told. Truth unmasks the shallowness of church Those that veil in counterfeited ways When earth shall crumble and the seas shall surge The Word of God shall reign supreme always. 'Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs.' Jonah 2: 8 copyright Cynthia Buhain-Baello February 28,2010
