The Afterlife Question

Is there life after death? Many doubt the possibility. For they say none have gone back yet To tell us of its reality. Is there good and evil here? Did we find it in our mother? Of courage and love and fear Did we see it in our father? Is there such a thing as hope? Are we living a blind existence? With no purpose or reason to cope Moving us to live well in a sense? If a dead man rose to testify I doubt very much he'd convince The skeptic who lives to deny There's a hell, justice, and sins. All these I have asked and know, For the good there is a place. As a tree by its fruit will show In the heart is the Heaven we trace. For the evil and the wicked there's hell Here on earth and reap self-destruction. For the human mind can weigh and tell Law of cause and effect- and its reason. What we reap is what we'll soon sow, That's the simple truth of the universe. Where we'll be after death we can know By the life that we lived, of course. Cynthia Buhain-Baello~~~01.31.16
