Ang Tunay na Basura Ang tunay na basura sa aking bansa Ay yaong maling turo at lihis na pananaw Na ang Kahirapan Diyos ang may parusa Sa Kanya rin magmumula grasyang umaapaw. Bulag na pagsunod sa kinagawian Panata at rosaryo, paglakad ng luhod Prosesyong walang landas ay hinahawakan Huwad na pag-asa sa ritwal inaanod. Reklamo at pag-angal kasabay ng dasal Subalit bawa't halalan, binebenta ang dangal Pagkukunwaring tunay likas sa mga hangal At sa mayroong yaman, inggit ang umiiral. Kahirapang dulot sa ugat ng relihiyon Bigyan man ng mga lupa at salaping milyon-milyon Hindi pa rin lunas pagkat Karakter wala doon Kung kaya't saglit lang itong bigay, nilalamon! Hungkag sa totoong sariling Katibayan And tunay na basura umaamoy sa aking bayan, Maingay at mabaho, nabubulok na Katauhan Kailan kaya babangon at kailan malulunasan? Blinded obedience to a warped tradition Vows made, rosaries prayed, walking on knees, Endless processions of vague destinations A falsehood of Hope, frail crutches are these. Complaining and blame said with the prayers But with every election, their honor- they sell. Hypocrisy evident in so many fools here And for those who have riches, their Envy swells. A Poverty rooted from deceptive religion, May be remedied partly by giving land or millions, Still will not solve it - Character lost dominion As dole outs, in a moment, goes to oblivion! Strength as a people emptied and hollow Is the real garbage that stinks in my country- Loud and smelly, Moral Erosion flows When will it rise up and when is the remedy?
