What a mother would do To shield her brood from pain And all the hurts undo Washed down by pouring rain. What a mother would do To care, prevent disease, From getting near or through To rob them of their peace. What a mother would give To bless them all with wealth In faith on God believe, Prayed for their spirit's health. Yet some would do away With what most mothers do Their rules that tend to sway Children to what's not true. New theologies of lies Take the child out from the mother In latter years find their demise With God's Truth and His power.
