Turning Around

Has anybody told you to quit the race, To them you are too far gone in disgrace? Do they turn up their noses in a haughty air, Sneer at your efforts to get up from there? Are there people whose aim is to just drain you, Look for your faults, is that all they do? As if nothing and no one on Earth failed as much Prove them all wrong, rise up from scratch. In life I have met them, they're awful indeed, But a forest can have lots of trees with bad seed, When they needed my help, I've been so kind. They hit me when I was down, a sad truth I find. Lesson number two, choose well your friend. Good times bring many, but some are not real. But the one who stays with you through the end Is the one who helps you turn around and heal.
