Just a line
with nothing on
except
a couple of pegs
Holding up
(as it were)
the world
before me
its skyline
its horizon
as if one could
un-peg it
take this particular view down
& replace it with another
or an empty space
...or...or...
Instead it just rained &...rained.
And I turning my back on
this particular world view
turning to you
held you
close as
close as
Space
clutches a star.
