Sometimes we read into things
more than what is there
our desires want us to believe
what isn’t there.
Little gestures suggest things
that are not
what they were meant to mean.
Our heart clouds our mind
with what isn’t there,
still we want to believe
these things can be possible,
yet we know
that they will never be.
However, we hope our lives
are just a dream away
from what we want it to be.
