A serenade is a love song
played and sung by a lover
who proclaims their love
in the sweetest melody of a song.
He stands beneath a parapet
almost unseen playing and singing
to his life’s love on high.
The tingling of the lover
is the feeling they rejoice with
of knowing the melody of love
is meant for only them.
Then chorus of Angels
join in the serenade
of love finding a partner
in a serenade.
