Great And Noble Nations

Drums across the river and smoke across the plains could mean in passed times a sign of a coming war or the tribes were meeting again. The drums were a greeting call and the smoke was the dust of a thousand buffalo or more. These signs are only shadows of a past almost entirely gone. The great and noble nations who ran free across the land seem like memories of a long distant movie show; however these people are still around. They walk alongside their enemies of long, long ago, greet them as friends, even watch their children play together in school yards. They are still a proud people who still remember their roots, the struggles they fought for when strangers began to invade across theirs lands. Now at peace their legends will live on in the good and noble men whose bodies bleached copper and minds fair and strong. During struggles they fought for their lands and died by foreign hands. Their strength and bravery and self-sacrifice are the stuff legends are built on. 5 July 2014
