It’s so easy at times
to walk away
from a cry for help
than it is to stay.
Time rules our lives
having to be here and there.
We all have appointments
that just cannot wait.
Wouldn’t it be nice
to stop for a moment
to extend a hand
helping someone through a crisis.
Sadly, not many people do
because it’s so easy
to walk away
than it is to stay.
