How many times have we looked at things
without really seeing what is there.
How many times later
have we regretted to ourselves
for being blind to what was there?
A human weakness I am afraid.
We only look at what is obvious
and not what lies hidden there.
Only seeing what we want to see,
then realising there was something more,
only when it is too late,
and we’ve learned the score.
