Never Mind The Brand

(This poem was inspired by a comment placed on one of my pieces by my friend Alison Cassidy.)
When a friend throws you a line
never worry about its brand,
just think of that friend
with the outstretched hand.
The line is there to help
you through the bad times in your life.
Never mind the brand name,
just grasp hold
and be glad it is there.
Every lifeline is different,
but is common in one way.
The line is from a friend
with your best interest at heart.
