Why Me?

It is incredible how time flies,
one moment you’re down,
thinking how much lower can I get.
Then someone comes along
and perks you up a bit.
Suddenly from disappearing down
that deep hole in the ground.
Someone ignites a spark
and you start to feel heaven bound.
First one person grasps your hand
and then another and another
reach out to help you.
Soon you have friends so abundant
you are not sure what to do.
Life for some reason is
jumping along in leaps and bounds.
Everywhere you turn
your dreams are coming true
and that is when you ask yourself,
why me?
You are the same as you were yesterday,
so what is happening
and why me?
The answer lies in the future
somewhere out of sight
and you won’t know
until you get there
what those answers are.
