Falling Star…..

Falling Star….. I guess I was just a falling star I sparkled and shone for only so long But within seconds I faded and fell. Shooting Star, I am just like a shooting star Thinking I was beautiful outside But turned black and ugly inside…. Flaring like the fires of the sun Stars strung high now come undone Wishes once held silent whispers near Waiting for wishers to appear. Now gazing ever-up as stars look down Falling seems misleading from the ground To cover or to catch.. what should I do? Wishes sought might ease, or blister through. Lighting up the night their sparks arise Searing in and lifting land to skies A wish is free but granted has its price Fhen getting it fails to fill and won't suffice. Burning with a need to have far more As nothing now fills within my empty core
