Lost In A Notion….

I catch a glimpse of a lost though in the mirror’s crack If it wasn’t me I didn’t think I’d be the one looking back It was a delusion caught in the rip of space and time In a blinking of a notion I was caught up in the sublime Though I can’t see I can hear and I sense the demeaning There are no worlds in between the real and the dreaming Except the one I live in the here and now, the one that I vow I'm caught, trapped within a meaning that I know not how Like smoke that swirls up and disappears into the nether I want to travel there like I know I can but won’t ever never I'm lost in a butterfly’s drift within the wings, a flow adrift There is no greater relevance like a place you cannot gift I want to be the meaning that my thoughts tell me deep within To be devoured into a dreams dream but where is it I begin? Like a kiss on a field of skin that doesn’t end but hasn’t a start Hidden within a belonging you don’t own like your own heart The worlds I live and the feelings I feel are not of here It’s a place of never knowing what will be me, my next fear Sunrised on a horizon that will never even exist for real Where you left hand cannot reach for or can never feel The visions of a place that never will be seen by eye Wait for a place in time where you can never live or die As the sun grows closer but moves away ever more The moon has wishes that you won’t know or long for There I will be waiting for a notion that I don’t survive Knowing fully that that is how I will know I was alive As the stars rise well above the skyline of non exist There welcomes me a sleepless sleep that I won’t resist….
