The memory's garden
Many a leaf
Many a bough
Many a flower

How buds opened
And bloomed into flowers
With hopes and beauties
In blended tints
Forever together
To bring life's colours
From rainbow skies
Foliate and verdant
Fresh and potent
Springs forth sunny days
Dear to all
Hope to all
At the sight of whom
Life renews life's all
Love upon love
Peace upon peace
It brings
To every human soul
Life's hey-day past
And ye I recall
With a heavy heart
