Nature (10 short poems)
First light of morning;
On grasses, morning tears glistening
Looks like a rainbow,
Grasses stir to tunes
Of cool breezes, holding sunshine in its
Lap softening our ways,
Little birds
Chirping at my window, asking for
A little food crumbs,
Bright sunshine, winds
Blowing away clouds, sun looking brighter
Wish to hug it,
Squirrel peeping from
A hollow tree, chattering to a mate
Readying for food,
Noonday heat
Animals seeking shade and
Looking for water,
Twilight approaching, animals and
Birds on their way after hectic day
To their places of sheltering,
Nightfall coming
Down the earth, stillness surfacing,
Souls resting after toiling,
Midnight nearing, rest after
Toil, peace after storm, death after life
See again tomorrow morning,
And
We call it
Splendour of life continuing….
