You Make But One Mistake

You make but one mistake
And that finally
Shapes your destiny
Of happiness and sadness
That comes your way
You may like or dislike
For this is the truth I discern
As she is the mother
And all others are her children
Past, present and future
Generation of which keeps coming and coming
Until they become your emperor
And you remember one day
While you are alone sitting and watching
The sun touching the morning and say
Oh what a mistake
What a mistake
And then it is too late
And at best with remorse you are left
