Determination Power!

There is a power known to Man That quite excels all else And there because it serves God's plan, So it needs no farewells… There is a power meant to please The saddest soul on Earth, Such that it grants a sense of peace, Establishing one's worth… For what is Man except that he Should ponder and reflect, Upon each cosmic mystery To show it some respect? So be it love or hate or such, Each heart can comprehend, Determination keeps in touch With all thoughts till they end… Be glad a noble soul explains A point of view expressed, Comparing values, losses, gains, Yet seeking what proves best… For poetry serves as the light, As if a star above That shines on through the darkest night To beckon us with love… Though lonely as a star on high, A poet may appear, Each ponders on that question why, Till new words make things clear… I stand alone, yet mid the stars, That glide across the skies… So that new poems come to pass, Like wisdom in disguise… Denis Martindale 20th May 2016.
