Misinformed By Media: (November 7th,2020)

I hear a lot of verbiage, But no thorough analysis. I hear a lot of myths, That are never deconstructed. I hear a lot about freedom, But I'm not certain what that means. I hear a lot about 'nasty' foreigners, But most of my friends are global. I hear a lot about heroes and villains, But surely life isn't that black and white. On mainstream media it seems that Emotionally potent oversimplifications are rife. I see a lot of keen presenters, But most are empty suits. I note a lot of convenient omissions, As well as obvious editing. I sense the cold finger of real power Pointing out orders behind the screen. I guess that's what they call 'The News'. I read a lot of books and articles, I like to do my research. I rarely read newspapers. I see straight through propaganda and lies. Perhaps, that's why I despise the media!
