I was contemplating infinity When I 'should' have only been thinking of you. And I was pondering metaphysics When I 'should' have been focusing on you. I was composing poems about beauty When I 'should' have composed ones about you. I was content at my meditation class, Yet I 'should' have been nightclubbing with you. I was interested in art and theatre, Rather than watching crappy films with you. I was reading fine novels by the score, When I 'should' have gone out shopping with you. You rightly complained, and that's why you left. That's fine. Now, I'm completely free to be me!
