A Poem On Death

Only a few young leaves, buds stay alive; Many have fallen off prematurely; Most flow'rs have dropped before they had blossomed; Not many leaves upon the bough are green! Some yellow leaves have still managed to stay; The autumn had not brought them off the tree; Some younger leaves are wilting fast away; A potpourri of leaves, buds get wind-heaped! Some earthlings have an end before their end; Some die by taking undue risks in life; Some end their lives by foolishness and haste; Some live up to a ripe old age and die! Death comes by stealth without any warning; We must prepare our souls for meeting death; We should not think that we can plan our end; God puts the ‘full-stop' to the sentence ‘life'. No one predicts when and how death befalls; We cannot live with undue fear of death; We have to keep our health and usefulness; Let's toil to earn possessions heavenly.
