Poetry heals the mind and heart
And purifies the soul;
Poetry is divine an art
That helps us reach life’s goal.
Poetry is escape from strife
When life becomes quite rough;
Poetry is a balm of life
When problems come quite tough.
Poetry eases heart and mind
Off tensions and from stress;
Poetry shows the way to bind
To God and happiness.
Poetry cools a nervous wreck
Whose life has turned too hot;
Poetry calms the nerves quite sick
Improving fate and lot.
Poetry works much magic fine
When woes have gone sky-high;
Poetry gives wisdom divine
On earth until you die.
