Sonnet- Life Must Be Respected

How does one man burn another alive? How can one torture men to get things done? Should one from other's suff'rings joy derive? Man must be crazy, firing machine-gun. Man shouldn't be sadistic in his approach; No man should maim a man for trivial gains; No man should on other's freedom encroach; No man should lead others down nasty lanes. As man has soul, he can't be very base; That man's fiend who gloats when other's pained; The Earth belongs to men of every race; Are true criminals gallowed, punished or caned? To judge a man is difficult- most a job; In justice's name, undue lives shouldn't one rob.
